All therapy is provided from a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens based on a person’s individual needs and their environments and contexts. My approach acknowledges impacts of systems and sociopolitical contexts. Approach is relational counselling with approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Gottman Method for couples.
About Me:
My name is Meghan and I am a registered social worker with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in social work and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is my priority to provide a non-judgmental environment that encourages space to explore your own inner wisdom, unique experiences and strength.
I have been practicing social work for 15 years in various roles including providing direct support to children, youth and families. I believe in the power of a meaningful therapeutic relationship and using approaches that are suited to your individual needs and goals.
When I am not working, I love enjoying the outdoors while listening to an audiobook, singing, writing and spending time connecting with my children, friends and family.
